This volume collects twelve issues of the monthly comic book. These are undoubtedly the scarcest of the Walking Dead graphic novels, which have now been printed in millions of copies. Early on, the publisher offered a small edition of just 300 signed and numbered copies of the hardcover graphic novels, and then stopped offering them after volume 4. The Walking Dead, running to 194 comic books collected into 32 trade paperback graphic novels, 16 hardcover volumes, and then 8 'omnibus' editions (color versions are also planned), and adapted into two TV series, several novels, and a video game sequence, has taken over popular culture much like the series' zombies have taken over the world.
